All MJLA Issues Now Online Available

2026-06-29
It is with great pride and enjoyment that we can announce that all the previous issues of the MJLA are now digitally available on our website! Since we had the issues until 2016 already digitally available, this means that we have now also made issues 1-7 digitally available, spanning the years of 2009-2015. Our first issue was published in 2009 with articles such as Reforming Stable Japan: How a Pioneer tries to Emasculate the Long-Standing Status-Quo from Within by Daan Cramer and Oyster Boy decided to go as human: The monster in Tim Burtons gothic-pataphysical The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy by Astrid Van den Bosche. This continues to our “last” issue of this batch (2015) having articles such as Genetic Mutations in Alzheimer’s Disease: A look at genetic research and corresponding advances in treatment by Anna Morr and Art Never Expresses Anything but Itself: The Russian avantgarde and Hauser’s critique of Suprematism by Hanna Hesemans & Louis R. Leary. This showcases the diversity of articles which the MJLA would publish, all reflecting the diversity of topics and interdisciplinarity we have come to expect from UCM and its students. With this release we bring you more than 15 years of MJLA history, all available on our website. We hope you will enjoy it!
